We had a blast at the Merlot World Classic at Lenz Winery, and now I’m ready for some seriously good food at the North Fork Table & Inn. The dining room is beautifully quaint and the menu looks incredible. Can I just have one of everything? 😉 I decided on the house smoked Scottish salmon with corn blini and horseradish mousse (fresh and flavorful) and the zucchini & mozzarella lasagna (surprisingly light and absolutely delicious). I could eat that lasagna all day every day! Even though we have been drinking wine for about 8 consecutive hours (with literally no breaks), naturally we had to order a couple of bottles to go with our meal. We enjoyed a really nice sparkling red (similar to a Lambrusco, my favorite) and one of the ladies in our group treated us to a beautiful Pinot Noir (my other favorite). This wonderful meal ended with warm sugar & spice doughnuts and a decadent chocolate caramel tart. The service was super friendly and every dish was delicious — I absolutely cannot wait to return! An enormous thank you to my lovely group of “wine-o”s for an unforgettable food and wine marathon!
