Lure Fishbar

Had a great night catching up with old friends and enjoying delicious seafood at Lure Fishbar. I started off with a Hitachino Nest white ale — such a great beer that I rarely get the chance to drink. Our appetizers included a mix of Kumamoto and Blue Point oysters (so fresh and briny!), kanpachi sashimi, and grilled Spanish octopus. Great way to kick off the meal! For our entrees, we shared the Skuna Bay salmon, steamed Branzino, and nori-crusted tuna — all were delicious, but the steamed Branzino “acqua pazzo” (which literally means “crazy water” in Italian) stole the show for me! The fish was incredibly tender and the tomato broth was light & flavorful. Considering I gave up white rice & white bread for Lent, I was really glad that was able to eat everything except for the rice around the tuna. Man, do I miss white rice! Only 19 more days to go. :-)
