I love Tommy Lasagna… enough to come in for lunch three times in less than two weeks! I took these opportunities to try something new each time. First up, the Poppa’s Lasagna, described on the menu as “It’s a Nonna’s… with balls” (the Nonna’s Lasagna has marinara, ricotta, and mozzarella). The addition of meatballs in Poppa’s takes it over the edge into serious deliciousness. The next time around I had to order the Eggplant Parmesan sammie (anyone who knows me knows that eggplant parm is one of my favorite things on earth). Thinly slicedf fried eggplant, ooey gooey mozzarella, and tasty marinara piled onto a fluffy roll — what more could I ask for in a sandwich? It rocked! My final lunch involved a walk down veggie lane with the Green Market Lasagna, packed with seasonal vegetables from the local market and smothered in a creamy bechamel sauce. Delish! On my to do list for next time: check out one of their pasta-making classes!
