I’m back at Donatella for more great Italian food. This time, I tried one of their signature brick oven pizzas: The Margherita (San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, pecorino, and basil). Simple and delicious! I especially loved the crust (and I almost never eat pizza crust). I also ordered the arancini again because I just love them. Crispy, gooey, meaty, cheesy — how can you go wrong with that combination? I had a feeling that I would be hungry later on in the evening (we were having an early dinner), so thinking ahead, I ordered the Eggplant Rotolino, basically an elongated eggplant roll. A few hours later, my stomach was growling, so I heated it up and had a second dinner. That eggplant rotolino was SO GOOD, I wish I had ordered five more! The eggplant was roasted beautifully and the crust was super tasty. Best eggplant roll I’ve ever eaten!
