JBF Greens From Scratch Sessions – Summer Mixology with The Liquid Chef

Had so much fun at my very first mixology class with the James Beard Foundation Greens, a group that holds events for foodies under 40. Junior Merino, The Liquid Chef, and his awesome team of mixologists taught us how to make three different cocktails at 101W15, a fun & modern rental building located at 101 West 15th Street. Everyone had their own shaker and set of tools to work with at the mixing stations while Junior & his team walked us through each cocktail, step by step, starting with The Dragonfly (vodka, cointreau, hibiscus syrup, pink grapefruit juice), El Angel (tequila, mezcal, hibiscus, orange juice with an Aleppo pepper & lime rim), and Kentucky Derby (bourbon, St. Germain, ginger beer, elderflower, mint) — my personal favorite. Best part of it all: we got to drink the cocktails after we made them! :)
