I’m always on the lookout for a good Italian restaurant. This is the third time I’ve been to Zio in the past 6 months — I can’t get enough of it! The melanzane (baked eggplant with smoked mozzarella) is my favorite dish. (I like it so much, I ordered one for dinner and another one to take home for later!) The pizzas have an ultra thin, super crispy crust, making them really light and airy, and the braised beef rib homemade pasta was deliciously meaty.
Zio: 17 West 19th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenue)
MELANZANE (Baked eggplant tortino with smoked mozzarella)
FIOR DI LATTE (Fresh mozzarella, tomato & basil)
BOCCONCINI (Baked fresh mozzarella wrapped with pancetta & summer black truffle sauce)
SEDANINI (Fresh small, tubular pasta with braised beef rib ragu)
