The Cuddy [lunch] (Sag Harbor, NY)

Excited to check out The Cuddy in Sag Harbor, a casual new bar & restaurant that opened in April 2013 (same owners as Sen, located next door and in Manhattan). I enjoyed a tasty Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro while deciding what to order — lots of yummy items on the menu to choose from. I went with the salmon tartare and the steamed mussels — two dishes that I definitely recommend. The salmon was light and fresh, and I loved the almond-panko soft fried egg that accompanied it (crispy outside, oozy runny yoke inside). The white wine broth for the perfectly cooked mussels was absolutely delicious, and I scooped up every last drop using the mussel shells as my spoon. I snagged a few bites of the bacon and brioche French toast as well. Looking forward to checking out the dinner menu next time I’m in the neighborhood — I hear the fried chicken is life changing! 😉
