Todd English P.U.B. (which stands for Public Urban Bar) won my heart with these two things: 1) The Carvery (an amazing selection of rotisserie cooked meats that you can order by the 1/2 pound or full pound) and 2) Double happy hours (one from 3 – 5pm and another from 10pm on). Does it get any better than that?! The menu is enormous and the food is straightforward — just classic pub fare done really, really well. And the beer selection is incredible. Since we had a late dinner and it was after 10pm, all pints were half off — awesome! We sampled a bunch of different dishes, including the brown butter lobster rolls, pastrami sliders (AKA “pastra-minis”), mac & cheese, oysters, and regular sliders (which were $2 each during happy hour). Everything was exceptionally good. Then came the Carvery meats: three pounds of Prime Beef, Corned Beef, and Pastrami served with grilled pita, challah bread, assorted sauces, and pickled veggies. These meats were outrageously delicious! And they tasted even better being washed down by half priced pints. We were so full that we ordered a single item for dessert (white chocolate bread pudding)… which ended up being large enough to serve a party of 10! Just kidding. But it really was much bigger than expected. Had such an amazing experience at Todd English P.U.B. — this is a must try spot when in Las Vegas!
