Cipriani on Wall Street is my neighborhood go-to spot for delicious, comforting Italian food. I’m like a little kid going nuts over the toasted white bread with no crust and crispy breadsticks — the bread basket at Cipriani is awesome. They also serve these warm, buttery dinner roll/croissant type things that are just incredible. By the time the real food comes, I’m already kind of full from munching on the tasty breads (but not to worry, I always have room for more). My staple dish is the grilled salmon (I always order it medium rare and it is perfectly cooked every time) with a side of arborio rice (the buttery rice is on the firm side — makes me think of fried risotto) and grilled zucchini. That’s my version of a healthy meal. 😉 I also love the baked eggplant parmigiana (the cheese is nice and crispy on top), the grilled branzino (super fresh with a squeeze of lemon), and pretty much all of the homemade pastas (will need to start taking pics of those — they are usually half gone before I can get the camera out). On a cool, breezy night, there’s nothing better than sitting outside on the balcony enjoying great food. Mangia!

Is it a croissant… or a dinner roll? A little bit of both!
