A couple of friends introduced us to The Blind Boar, a great barbecue spot in Norwood, NJ. I felt like I was actually in the country with the rustic interior and live country band. The standout dish of the night for me was the fire roasted bacon jam — I have never had anything like it before and it was so tasty! A perfect blend of salty (from the bacon) and sweet (from the brown sugar and maple syrup). Maybe I should try making it at home. I also enjoyed my baby back ribs, which were tender and juicy, and a nice cold Ommegang Abbey Ale washed it all down. As we left, there was country music playing out on the patio. Loved it! Definitely going back to check out The Blind Boar during my next trip to Jersey.
