Tonight I had the incredible opportunity to attend an event presented by the Luxury Education Foundation (LEF) at Columbia Business School that featured one of the most amazing chefs on the planet, Daniel Boulud! As part of a series entitled, “Conversations on Luxury”, the editor-in-chief of Departures magazine, Richard David Story, interviewed Chef Boulud on a variety of topics from how he got his start as a chef to what he defines as luxury in the culinary world. It was thrilling to sit in the front row right by the Chef himself! Following the interview, there was a champagne reception that included tasty bites from Epicerie Boulud (Chef Boulud’s catering company) and my favorite dessert of all time: rich, buttery MADELEINES. A big thanks to my lovely friend who works in the luxury goods field for inviting me to this fantastic event!
