Left Bank

Left Bank has been on my list of places to try for a while. I’ve heard great things and I’ve seen a number of mouth-watering photos on Instagram. My recent dining experience there was wonderful and I just loved everything, from the cozy, welcoming atmosphere to the friendly service and delicious food. An old high school friend and I caught up over five simple and flavorful dishes: a beet salad with dandelion and cara cara orange (clean and citrusy), farfalle pomodoro with fresh ricotta and basil (the fresh tomato sauce and homemade pasta were fantastic), Florida shrimp risotto with cauliflower and kaboucha squash (the risotto was perfectly cooked), pan-seared local trout (moist and delicate with super crispy skin), and roasted spaghetti squash with parsnips and sage (so scrumptious — one of my favorite dishes of the night). Each dish consisted of high quality ingredients and tasted incredibly fresh. Left Bank is a great neighborhood spot that I’ll definitely be heading back to soon!
