It’s been a few months and I had to have my Zio fix. I ordered my favorite dish, the Melanzane (baked eggplant tortino with smoked mozzarella). It’s hearty, comforting, and absolutely delicious — I could honestly eat this every day! I also sampled a few new dishes: Fettuccine with Manila clams and cherry tomatoes, Gnudi (butternut squash ricotta dumpling) in a black winter truffle sauce, and, a special of the night, Lobster with black squid ink pasta. The pastas were made in house and I loved all of them. I also enjoyed a specialty cocktail, the Tiziano, made with Prosecco and freshly squeezed grape juice — tasty and refreshing! For dessert, there was only thing on my mind: the Kahlua Tiramisu. It’s packed with flavor and as light as air. What a pleasure to meet Darren, one of Zio’s owners, during this visit. We’re Zio fans for life and will be back again soon.
